Sunset Sherbet Strain
The Sunset Sherbet strain greatly favors its parent strain, Girl Scout Cookies. However, its genetics also include the lesser-known, Pink Panties strain. This blend gives Sunset Sherbet a good mix of potency and flavor.
Growing Sunset Sherbet Seeds
These are feminized seeds. Female plants, contrary to male plants, are the ones that actually produce weed. They start flowering when they receive less light per day, i.e. in the Fall or when you manipulate the light cycle indoors.

Sunset Sherbet Plants & Preferred Climate
Sunset Sherbet plants are low maintenance and thrive both indoors and outdoors. They prefer sunny and mild, Mediterranean-like environments around 70 degrees. The plants are resistant to mold and mildew, making them ideal for beginner growers. Outdoor growers should keep their plants away from heavy storms or wind as well as extreme temperatures.

Flowering & Yield
If you’re growing indoors, Sunset Sherbet will begin flowering in about eight weeks. The plants average about four to five feet high. This strain doesn’t produce the highest yield, however, with training, indoor growers can yield up to eight ounces of bud per square meter. Sunset Sherbet plants grow well in dirt and do not need a hydroponic setup.
Sunset Sherbet plants can grow larger outdoors, causing the potential yield to increase. An outdoor plant can yield up to eleven ounces and grow up to six feet high. Harvest between late September and early October, depending on your climate.
Experiencing the Sunset Sherbet Strain
Sunset Sherbet is as flavorful as its parent strains but more potent. It is known for its long-lasting and immediate euphoric effects. Soon after the initial taste, full-body relaxation leads the way to worry-free thoughts. The mood-boosting and body numbing effects last for hours.
Sunset Sherbet has noticeable cerebral effects combined with a tasty flavor, making it easy to overindulge. Its moderately high THC levels can be surprising for casual users. Like most strains, Sunset Sherbet will likely cause dry eyes and mouth for most people. However, since it has many sativa qualities, it can also lead to minor paranoia or anxiety in some people. This tends to occur from using too much.
Sunset Sherbet: Taste & Smell
Sunset Sherbet doesn’t have any harsh flavors, making it pleasant to smoke. Even while growing, this plant will not overwhelm you with its smell. Instead, you’ll experience a fruity (mostly citrus) scent with slight herbal notes. It’s surprisingly refreshing and pleasant.
Sunset Sherbet’s flavor is simply delicious. There is a significant fruit component, with citrus flavors dominating the experience. On the exhale, the subtle taste of mint arrives, and you suddenly understand why this strain is named after a frozen desert. The mint flavor is a crisp finish to its sweet beginnings.
Uses for Sunset Sherbet
Sunset Sherbet is an ideal strain for overall stress relief. It is a hybrid that delivers both a body and head high. Even though there’s a heavy indica presence in this strain, it is appropriate for daytime use, as there is no couchlock.
The euphoric, long-lasting effects in Sunset Sherbet provide a pleasant mood boost, lifting the occasional sadness and helping to balance even the longest-term sufferers. Instead of sleepiness, it produces a mellow, relaxed mood.
The Girl Scout Cookies genetics help balance out the euphoria with a body buzz that melts away muscle aches and pains. The sativa side comes out in creative bursts that won’t lead to nervous energy. Sunset Sherbet is also a great strain for anyone needing to increase their appetite or reduce nausea.
